Product-Spec-Sheets Define Goods
The product-spec-sheets are used by companies to provide consumers information about the products they are interested in. They are mostly sought after by technically inclined individuals. A typical document gives information on the make, time of manufacture, characteristics, capabilties, safety issues to follow etc. They come in many different formats and vary in scope of the information they provide. Some are a mere one page and others are many pages long containing many graphics, tables, and photographs of the good. The products they describe can be electrical, electronic or mechanical or a combination of all. A typical product-spec-sheet included in the photo at the top of this webpage describes the XQ20-2 RENTAL by CATERPILLAR. This is a heavy duty electrical generator set. The document which was found on the Internet provides technical information about this unit's features. Included are specs on its generator set, engine, generator, control system, multi-voltage distribution panel, mounting arrangement, sound attenuated enclosure, and the circuit breaker. Another for a company called Kaidan that claims itself "The World Leading Provider of Photographic VR Solutions for the Internet", decribes its KiWi 2700 Panoramic Tripod Head. The document sporting two columns shows a photo of the Fuji MX270 digital camera mounted on the tripod. This is shown at the left-hand column at the top of the page with all the KiWi 2700 unit's features listed below it. Meanwhile, a full column of marketing text occupies the right-hand side. The technical document is completed with information about the manufacturer and how to contact same. Here you find given the address, phone number, fax number and internet addresses etc. As you can see each of these documents is unique as are the different goods they describe.
